While we worry about a few less chunks of ice in the Arctic, the Icelanders are scared that the AMO may be about to turn.
When that happens, as it inevitably will, they know they will see a return of the sea ice years which decimated their economy in the 1960’s and 70’s.
It also brought lower temperatures for the NH, extreme weather and huge drought problems for Africa, India and other parts of Asia.
